In a world that often portrays youth as a collection of problems or a mere transitional stage, the Church, inspired by the Spirit, invites us to see them as a true theological locus. Young people are «the »now' of God, who wants them to be fruitful," Pope Francis reminds us. It is the certainty that in their longings, their struggles, and even their contradictions, God is present and at work.

It is on this sacred ground that the Society of Jesus seeks to sow seeds, guided by the Universal Apostolic Preference of “accompanying young people in the creation of a hopeful future.” We do not walk ahead to set the pace, nor behind to push, but alongside, in sincere and respectful dialogue.

The Ignatian Youth Ministry (IYM) is our commitment to accompanying you in discerning your life project and in your commitment to a more just and fraternal society. We are an apostolic body that generates processes, weaves community, and opens horizons of meaning from the spirituality of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Our focus is the young person, with their history, their dreams, and their cries.
