The Caribbean Province of the Society of Jesus is part of the universal mission of the Jesuits, a mission of reconciliation that seeks to help men and women reconcile with God, with themselves, with others, and with creation.
This Jesuit province was born on July 31, 2023, integrating the former Antilles Province and the regions of Guyana and Jamaica, in response to Father General Arturo Sosa, S.J.'s call to walk together as an apostolic body in this diverse and vibrant region, serving with greater coordination and apostolic creativity.
We are present in various Caribbean countries, including Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Guyana, Miami, and Trinidad and Tobago, supporting communities through educational, pastoral, social, spiritual, and communication initiatives. From this presence, we seek to discern and respond with creativity and commitment to the region's challenges.
We are companions of Jesus on a mission of reconciliation and justice. From the Gospel, we wish to contribute to a more just, supportive, and fraternal territory, being a sign of hope, closeness, and reconciliation amidst the realities of the Caribbean Sea.
