The Office for Prevention and Culture of Care of the Caribbean Province of the Society of Jesus is born as a space for service, articulation, and accompaniment, committed to the promotion of safe, healthy, and respectful environments for all people, especially children, adolescents, and adults in vulnerable situations.
Our work is aimed at preventing all forms of abuse and maltreatment, as well as strengthening an authentic culture of care.
We support the works, communities, and individuals of the Caribbean Province through training, awareness-raising, advice, and guidance processes, promoting practices that foster good treatment, co-responsibility, listening, risk prevention, and adequate attention to situations of violation.
In the Caribbean Province, we organize training programs to promote a culture of Safeguarding and Care in our works:
We believe that prevention is a path built in community, starting from awareness, reflection, and daily commitment. Therefore, we work to ensure that every space connected to the mission of the Society of Jesus in the Caribbean is a place where human dignity is cared for, protected, and promoted, and where care is lived as a concrete expression of faith that seeks justice throughout the world.
