Fr. José Luis Sáez, SJ: Educational and Spiritual Leader in Social Sciences
Members of the Loyola Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association (ASIA-IPL), accompanied by their president, Mr. Domingo Pérez, visited the Provincial Curia at the beginning of November to honor Fr. José Luis Sáez SJ.
On the plaque that distinguishes the Jesuit, one can read: “For his life dedicated to service, education, and culture, as a teacher, historian, communicator, and spiritual guide. His professional legacy serves as an example that inspires multiple generations of students to practice truth and love for one's neighbor.”.
Alumni recalled Father Sáez's educational and spiritual mark on their lives, dedicating verses to him and recounting anecdotes from his time as a film, theater, and sociology professor. Without a doubt, Father Sáez is a cause for joy for our Province, especially for the Dominican Republic, where, in addition to being a dedicated pastor, he has been an academic benchmark in the Social Sciences.
