Cardoner Workshop: Ignatius of Loyola and my spiritual journey
March 16 Ten collaborators from the Loyola Polytechnic Institute (IPL) participated this weekend in the Cardoner Workshop for collaborators at the El Carmelo residence in Santo Domingo. Accompanied by Father Francisco Escolástico, the workshop delved into the first part of the training program, titled: “Ignatius of Loyola and my spiritual journey.”.
From selected readings from the *Spiritual Journal*, the autobiography of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, participants examined their own life stories, recognizing the transformative action of God in the crucial moments of their existence. They were also able to reflect on the value of discernment in their daily routines, the ‘finding of God in all things’, and to approach the context in which Ignatius of Loyola undertook his spiritual pilgrimage.
The collaborators, mostly teachers, had spaces for prayer, meditation, the Eucharist, and getting to know one another.
The Cardoner Program is a training process for collaborators with the aim of better undertaking and carrying out a mission. For 2026, the Spirituality Network of the Dominican Republic is working on coordinating several editions of the workshops to promote the diffusion of Ignatian spirituality in the daily work of the apostolates of the Society of Jesus.
